Worm Count Service
Why have your horse's faeces tested?
By taking a worm count you can check for a low or high worm burden.
Check the effectiveness of your worming program.
Save costs by targeting infected horses with a high worm burden only.
Worm resistance will be reduced if fewer wormer doses are used.
Speciation can identify specific wormers that need to be used.
NB: A faecal egg count cannot test for tapeworms, only a blood test can do this. So either worm for tapeworms yearly or contact your vet. An egg count will not show immature or encysted worms, so you may wish to include one worming for encysted worms in late autumn, as a safeguard.
